Ingredients:
- 150 g of butter at room temperature
- 100 g sugar
- vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 275 g flour
- 1/2 of tsp baking powder
Beat the butter and sugar until it is smooth and creamy. Add one egg and the vanilla until well blended.
Separately, whisk the dry ingredients: flour and the baking powder. Add to the butter mixture.
Divide the dough in two parts and, wrap and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C.
Take one portion of the dough and place it on a floured surface. Roll out the dough until it is 4-7 mm thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut the sables and place them on a sheet, leaving space between them.
Whisk the left egg and brush the top of the cookies ( I sprinkled some brown sugar and sesame).
Bake the cookies until golden brown around edges.
Optionally, I filled in some cookies with caramelized condensed milk.
